James Harden gave the Philadelphia 76ers’ fans a very scary moment. The post-“Process” Sixers’ fans are used to playoff disappointments. After a six year process, the Philadelphia 76ers came together in 2018. Not only was 2018 the Sixers’ first playoffs in six years, it was their first 50 win season in seventeen years. It looked like Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons were really going places.
The first seeded Sixers had a meltdown in the second round of the 2021 playoffs. In Game 7, Ben Simmons basically stopped playing. Meanwhile, Trae Young played like a Finals MVP. Game 7 wound up being the last game Ben Simmons played for the Sixers. James Harden was in Brooklyn, meanwhile, losing his own Game 7 to the eventual champion Bucks.
James Harden and Ben Simmons were traded for each other. When James Harden arrived in Philadelphia, the fans were excited. Originally, the trade worked well, but James Harden returned to the mean. Tonight, the Sixers are playing Game 2 against the Toronto Raptors. While the Sixers won the game, James Harden gave them a scare, when he and Joel Embiid ran into each other.
