Jay Critch shows out in Gifted video
Jay Critch was a part of the 2016 wave of NYC rappers who took over the game. At the time, he was actually the most-popular rapper of the bunch. He was signed to Rich The Kid’s Rich Forever label and his rise to fame was alongside him. In the years since then, Critch has gone through a lot, but he’s overcoming it.
Early in 2021, Jay Critch made it clear he is no longer with Rich Forever. He put Rich The Kid on blast and began beefing with his former label and boss. Taking his career into his own hands, Jay Critch set about putting music out under his own umbrella. This is a far cry away from the days when Critch would hop on tracks with Rich The Kid and Famous Dex.
While Critch and Rich The Kid were beefing, Rich The Kid was taking Famous Dex to rehab. This year, Jay Critch has worked his way back into the game. He hasn’t released a ton of music, but he has put some new tracks out. Recently, he released his single, “Gifted,” to the masses. A few days ago, he released the music video.
