Jayson Tatum emerged as the Celtics’ true leader, during the second half of last season. Until January, the Celtics were only a play-in team. The Boston Celtics came into 2022 with a losing record. Tatum would step his play up and the Celtics got back into the playoff picture. Briefly, the Celtics came back to take the first seed in the East. Eventually, the Boston Celtics took the second seed.
Jayson Tatum would lead the Boston Celtics to a sweep over the Brooklyn Nets. More impressive was how Jayson Tatum led the Celtics to a Game 7 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. After dethroning the defending NBA champions, Tatum put himself on the map. However, the Miami Heat are a different beast with Finals experience. Game 3 saw the Celtics struggle and Tatum got bumped.
