Joel Embiid tries to learn James Harden’s step-back | Philadelphia 76ers practice [VIDEO]

Joel Embiid tries to learn James Harden’s step-back during practice

Last week, the NBA was active during the trade deadline. No teams got bigger headlines than the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets. They traded Ben Simmons and James Harden, along with other assets and players. Without Ben Simmons, the Sixers have played well, this season. Joel Embiid has played like an MVP. Until Kevin Durant’s injury, the Nets were dominating without Kyrie Irving, and KD was looking like an MVP.

The Philadelphia 76ers tanked several seasons in hopes of stacking draft picks. This allowed them to cash in on the Ben Simmons sweepstakes. Only five years in, the Sixers had buyers’ remorse, as Ben Simmons played terribly, as the Sixers lost in seven games to Trae Young’s Atlanta Hawks. In the Ben Simmons era, Joel Embiid stepped up as the franchise player. Together, this duo failed to advance past the playoffs’ second round series.

With James Harden, the Sixers are happy, and he is happy. During his press conference, James Harden said Philadelphia is where he wanted to play, anyway. Now, James Harden is in practice with Joel Embiid, preparing to start another powerful duo. Already, Joel Embiid is in there practicing James Harden’s signature step-back jump shot.
