Jordan Poole shakes hands with Ja Morant before Game 4

Jordan Poole is the guy who kept the Golden State Warriors together, this year. Since 2019, the Warriors have been slowed down by injuries. When Klay Thompson was gone, Jordan Poole played in his place. In 2021, Jordan Poole grew comfortable in the role. Alongside Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole formed a core with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Until the end of 2021, the Warriors were tied with the Phoenix Suns for the NBA’s best record.

Jordan Poole reverted back to a smaller role, when Klay Thompson returned. Thompson’s return coincided with Draymond Green’s injury. Slowly, the Warriors fell into second place, and the Suns created distance. Soon, the Memphis Grizzlies overtook the Warriors for the second seed. The Warriors soon were rapidly falling and the Mavericks briefly took the third seed. While the Warriors lost that season series, Jordan Poole stepped up and helped the Warriors win third.

Jordan Poole got hot, so Stephen Curry was a bench player when he returned. With Curry coming off the bench, the Warriors dispatched Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets in the first round. Stephen Curry returned to the starting lineup and they have played a close series with the Memphis Grizzlies. In Game 3, Jordan Poole collided with Ja Morant’s knee. Ja Morant was ruled out for Game 4 and Grizzlies’ fans blame Poole. Before Game 4 began, however, Jordan Poole did shake his hand, dispelling beef rumors.
