Joy Young explains why she is divorcing Trick Daddy
Celebrity marriages don’t always have a fairy tale ending. In an exclusive interview on Slim Stunta’s podcast “We In Miami”, Joy Young shares her reason for divorcing ex-husband Trick Daddy. The interview also featured Bobby Lytes and Trina who admitted to introducing Joy and Trick Daddy in 2003. Although the pair have been separated for four years, their divorce has not been finalized. Joy who is also Trina’s cousin, speaks on not liking Trick Daddy’s gold teeth in addition to irreconcilable differences.
Joy Young made her relationship public during season four of “Love & Hip-Hop Miami.” Giving viewers an inside look at her marriage with the rap star. Trick Daddy, famously known for classic hits like “Nann N*gga,” featuring Trina, “I’m A Thug,” and “Thug Holiday”, shares a twenty-year marriage with Joy. During the series, Trick Daddy is eagerly fighting to reconcile his relationship with Joy. However, Joy has remained very honest about her decision to end their relationship. Joy even set Trick Daddy up on a date during the show, which didn’t go over very well.
Despite their very public separation, the questions still remains as to why the divorce hasn’t been finalized. In this latest episode Trina gives her personal insight on their marriage. Joy also mentions being “sick and tired of being sick and tired” as well as when the divorce would be finalized. The full episode is expected to release on streaming platforms this week.
