Kevin Durant joining the Brooklyn Nets was supposed to make them title contenders. In 2019, the perception was that the East was wide open. After two years, Kyrie Irving left the Boston Celtics for the Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors, after three years. Durant had issues with Draymond Green during the 2019 season. This was the Warriors’ first season to not win the title with KD on the roster.

Despite this, the Nets briefly took the first seed. The Nets went on an eleven game losing streak, where Harden was traded for Ben Simmons. Despite Simmons not yet playing, the Nets rebounded to a 44-38 play-in record, and won the seventh seed.

Kevin Durant and the Nets were expected to make the Celtics’ first round tough. After two games, Kevin Durant is highly upset. Last night, Kevin Durant lost control of the game, and the Celtics came back and won.
