Kevin Durant walks out as Nets lose to Miami Heat with 3 seconds left on the clocks

Kevin Durant leaves the court with 3 seconds left as Nets lose to Heat

Few people predicted the Miami Heat to have the East’s top record, this season. Most pundits and fans bet their money on the Brooklyn Nets. This season, the Nets were expected to be at full strength, with the Big 3 finally able to play together. The few times the Nets had Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, they were unstoppable. However, the problem was getting the Big 3 together to play. Once Kyrie Irving refused to get the vaccine, things got more complicated.

During their first year together, the Nets were upset by Giannis and the Bucks, in the playoffs. Then, this season saw the Nets struggle early. Only briefly did Brooklyn get it together, only for Kevin Durant to go down with injury. After this, the Nets went into freefall, losing nine games in a row, during which time James Harden was traded. Following the trade, the Nets extended the losing streak to eleven. With Ben Simmons on the roster, fans still expect the Nets to contend.

Tonight, the Nets hosted Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, during Kevin Durant’s return. As the Heat continue to dominate the East, they went into Brooklyn and beat the Nets. It was a close game and KD tried to give Brooklyn a chance. Instead, the Heat closed them out, and Kevin Durant went to the bench, as the game was decided. With three seconds left on the clock, Kevin Durant walked out of the game, as the Heat finished the Nets in Brooklyn.
