Kevin Durant turns the ball over and walks off as the Celtics beat the Nets
It’s obvious Kevin Durant is frustrated and how can he not be? The Brooklyn Nets have taken another disappointing loss, this time to the Celtics in Boston. This came, as Jayson Tatum went off for a career high 54 points, against KD’s team. In 2019, Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors to start over with the Brooklyn Nets. That year, the Warriors were two wins away from winning their third straight championship. Now, the Nets are struggling, while the Warriors hold the NBA’s second best record.
After a disappointing playoff loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Brooklyn Nets were expected to contend for a championship this year. Instead, the Nets got off to a slow start, but they eventually rebounded, and took the top record in the East. Since then, the Nets have struggled, going on an eleven game losing streak. During that time, the Nets lost James Harden, and Kevin Durant snubbed him with his All-Star roster selection.
Last night, the Brooklyn Nets played a close game against the Celtics in Boston. Towards the end of the game, Kevin Durant fell out of bounds with the ball. KD insisted he was fouled, but the no call meant the Nets effectively lost the game. So, as the game was ending, Kevin Durant walked off, as Kyrie Irving stayed to congratulate Jayson Tatum. The Nets are now definitely looking at the play-in, instead of a playoff spot.
