This season, the Memphis Grizzlies have surprised the NBA. There was never a question of whether or not Ja Morant was a good player. However, what he has done with the Grizzlies, this season, was totally unexpected. Ja Morant has led the Memphis Grizzlies to the NBA’s third best record. However, this is only good enough for the third seed out West. Memphis is currently looking up at Chris Paul and Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson’s Golden State Warriors.

LaMelo Ball is viewed like Ja Morant was, prior to this season, as a future NBA star. This year, LaMelo Ball was selected to his first ever NBA All-Star Game. He was selected as a reserve to Kevin Durant’s team. His selection came as James Harden was being roasted. While LaMelo Ball is an All-Star, the Hornets’ first since Kemba Walker, in 2019, the Hornets are struggling as of late. Until their win over the Pistons, Charlotte had lost their last six games.

Coming into the Memphis game, last night, the Hornets were expected to lose. By halftime, they gave up over 70 points and fell behind by 34 points. However, LaMelo Ball got them back in the game. The Hornets cut the lead to four points, with only minutes left in the game. After getting bumped, LaMelo Ball got upset with the refs. Later, he would get into it with some of his teammates.
