Lance Stephenson tried to bait Jonathan Kuminga into a fight
After losing to the Grizzlies, in the play-in, the Golden State Warriors were expected to come back strong, in 2021-22. In 2021, Stephen Curry was easily the NBA’s best player, reminding people that he could score at will. Individually, Curry had the best season of his career since 2016. Curry definitely played like an MVP, but failed to win his third award.
This season, the Warriors just got after it, and began winning. The Warriors raced to a 30-9 record, narrowly beating the Phoenix Suns for the NBA’s best record. When they started 30-9, Klay Thompson was cleared to finally return. It looked like the Warriors would only get better, but an injury to Draymond Green is proving costly. Since he’s been out, the Warriors have lost games, and the Grizzlies are catching up, in the standings.
Tonight, the Warriors are playing the Indiana Pacers at home, and they gave up ten straight points in overtime. It’s been a tough game for them and, early in the game, Jonathan Kuminga got tangled up with Lance Stephenson, who tried to get Kuminga to hit him, but he didn’t take the bait.
