What the South Bronx did for hip hop ended up changing the entire world. While hip hop has gone onto impact the world, South Bronx has continued to inspire others. A native of South Bronx, Lazaris The Top Don was very inspired.

Lazaris The Top Don is currently one of the top independent rappers in the game. But, prior to this, he was a guy who looked up to the likes of KRS-One, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Caz of the Cold Crush Brothers, Big Pun, and more. Though still inspired by them, he’s inspiring others.

Fast forward to 2021, Lazaris The Top Don has one of the top independent albums out, in the form of Svccess In My Path, which was very widespread. Inspired by hip hop and salsa, Lazaris has blazed his own trail, and is working with Lord Sear and Da Inphamus Amadeuz, of Shade 45, who he is signed to. At the same time, he has his own record labels, Top Don Empire, and Black Onyx Music Group, the latter with Yao Black.

Lazaris The Top Don is doing a lot, but that’s simply because he wants a lot. While he definitely wants the spoils of what dominating the rap game comes with, he also wants to help others, which is why he has labels, where he’s signed talent. With his own music, Lazaris is focused on making hits, and he has the “Lights Out” single he’s promoting, alongside his “Cross Fire” single.
