Since 2018, Philadelphia’s Leaf Ward has been making a lot of noise. Four years ago, he dropped his album, Concrete Leaf, and he hasn’t looked back. The city of Philadelphia has an esteemed hip hop history, which often goes overlooked. A lot of people don’t view the historic accomplishments as a creation from Philly.

Leaf Ward, though, represents the new era of the Philadelphia hip hop scene. Representing the city, he follows a long line of legends in the game. A decade ago, Philadelphia had a rapper blow up, and it placed a spotlight back on the city. Since then, the city has produced a few major stars, and Leaf Ward is working to make sure he is the next one.

Recently, Leaf Ward released the music video for “Asked For,” which is his newest single. It’s been nearly a year since he released his last project. But, through the course of the past year, Leaf Ward has continued releasing new music. He has now returned with the visual for his newest single, which hasn’t hit streaming services yet.
