When it boils down to it, six rings is what LeBron James is after. While he’s gotten to four, the fifth one is proving challenging. Outsiders criticize LeBron James for all of the NBA Finals appearances where his teams came up short. But NBA players who have been there don’t believe in that argument. Instead they give LeBron James credit for consistently getting there.
LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018. Some expected the Lakers to at least be a playoff team. However, most were realistic about how tough the West was. The Lakers missed the playoffs, meaning LeBron James sat out of the playoffs for the first time in thirteen years. A year later, LeBron James led the Lakers to their first championship in ten years.
Injuries slows the Lakers down, last season. They started the season 22-7, but slowly fell from the second seed into the play-in. This season, the Lakers have been in the play-in all year. Right now, the New Orleans Pelicans are their biggest opposition in the play-in. Taking the Pelicans on, LeBron James did his best to put the Pelicans away, early, but ended up hurting his ankle.
