The new ladies of hip-hop are reminding fans the importance of supporting one another. Brooklyn sensation Lola Brooke shocked fans with a surprising performance earlier this week. Currently finishing her tour with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Lola Brooke brings out Billy B to perform the viral single “Don’t Play With It.” The duo rocked the stage together in front of fans at The Barclays Center in their hometown. Sharing the stage together was a moment for fans to remember, following Billy B speaking publicly about not being included in prior performances.
Dominating 2022 in music and social media, Lola Brooke is the next big rapper to represent New York. Following the success of the single “Don’t Play With It” Lola released the single “Here I Come,” last November. The video for the new single is already near 1 million views on Youtube alone, further proving her powerful influence. Lola also gave a flawless feature on Flo Milli’s “Conceited” remix alongside Maiya The Don. Lola was also named R&B/Hip-hop Rookie of the month for February by Billboard this year.
Despite previous animosity between her and Billy B, this performance cleared the air on any confusion. As Brooklyn natives both women rocked the stage in their hometown, making the moment inspiring and historical. Lola finishes up her tour on March 24th in London.
