Monica pauses concert to call out man who hit woman 

On Saturday night, the Riverfront Music Festival was held in Detroit. This event was hosted by DJ Envy and also Saucy Santana. Furthermore, Monica and Ashanti also headlined the evening’s performances.

However, during Monica’s performance, she had to pause her show to call out an incident that occurred in the crowd. A man reportedly punched a woman, as that resulted in Monica publicly calling out the man for doing so.

Furthermore, Monica asked security to escort this man out of the concert. She even went inside the crowd herself, to make sure that the situation was fully taken care of. Fans have since applauded Monica on social media for taking action here, and making sure the woman in attendance was free from any physical harm.

Meanwhile, this also comes after Monica paused her concert in Washington, D.C., back in April. That happened due to a fight breaking out in the crowd, as she attempted to get that situation to deescalate.
