Five years ago, Nicki Minaj’s popularity reached an all-time high and she managed to get a deal with Lil Wayne. The five years since then, Nicki Minaj made the transition to mainstream star look easy. Along the way, she had her own E! mini-series alongside the Kardashians and judged “American Idol” for a season.
All of this came when Nicki Minaj was not focusing on her music. Early in 2012, she released an album, but later in the year and into 2013, she focused on her business ventures, which were mainly television. The focus is back on music, now, as she is working on her third album, The Pink Print.
“Anaconda” is the new single off the album and Nicki Minaj is going all out for the music video. The single cover was enough to knock the industry on its back, but it is nothing compard to the music video trailer. Yesterday, Nicki Minaj released the trailer for “Anaconda” on Instagram.
