Read the entire interview below:

What is your opinion on the Baltimore hip hop scene? I think Baltimore’s hip hop scene is very interesting. There is a ton of talent here which makes Baltimore very marketable, just not a lot of artist that can put themselves outside the city to be seen.

Seeing how the city has yet to have a true breakout star, do you believe you will fill that void? I kinda believe the void will never be filled, due to the fact that there is so many artist here that all have something to contribute creatively. I certainly believe that I can definitely can
put Baltimore in a mainstream light, but the city would never be satisfied until we take it all.

How do you feel your music sticks out from what is already out? I feel my music sticks out simply because of the way I blend genres together, which makes me not quite fit the current hip hop scene at all.

You have diverse music influences, how would you say they have inspired your overall sound? They have influenced me overall from a sonic standpoint. Meaning taking a lot of time experimenting with vocals ranges, sounds, and even instruments.

It’s safe to say, you’re a free agent when it comes to a record deal, what would it take for you to sign with a major? It would solely be about giving me full creative control.

Currently, who are your favorite mainstream artists? I listen to everybody, from Adele, to Kendrick Lamar, and even bands like Foster The People.

Can you talk about your single, “Kelsey?” The single, “Kelsey” was written because an inspiration given to me from a fellow musician. Since she gave me the idea, I decided to name it after her.

When can we expect more music from you? You can be expecting “Kelsey 2 by” this summer!
