Papoose is one of the most slept on rappers in the game. Before he broke, as an artist, Papoose was consistently listed as one of the top lyricists in the game. At one point, Papoose was predicted as the rapper who would put New York back on the map. In the end, Papoose played a much more pivotal role in the community. He put an end to the stereotypes about black men stepping up as fathers and husbands. His love for Remy Ma extended to her child, who he looked after during her time in prison, taking him to see her every day that she was locked away.

The dedication Papoose has to Remy Ma was something that was always displayed. Their relationship behind bars played out during the infancy of the Instagram boom. During the summer of 2014, Remy Ma was released from prison, but they kept a low profile. They made one appearance during the short-lived “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” after show, where they announced they were joining the “Love & Hip Hop” cast in New York. From 2015 through 2020, they held down the flagship show, until production was indefinitely suspended.

Without the show, Papoose got back into his bag. Papoose has always been determined to prove he can outrap everyone. In 2021, Papoose dropped a new project every month. Last year, he scored a hit with his single, “Thought I Was Gonna Stop,” featuring Lil Wayne. On the remix, Papoose really went all out. That project was taken from hisĀ September project, which should be turned into an album. Releasing another single from that project, Papoose has given “Heat 7,” with Method Man, the music video treatment.
