Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 Episode 7 Preview

Last week, Tariq (Michael Rainey, Jr.) secured his release from prison. He did so by telling Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) he couldn’t get the info on Sweeney (Scott Cohen). While Tate helped Tariq get out, he told him that he’s the one in control. Tate also warned Tariq that he would destroy him if he used the opportunity to cross him.

Immediately, Tariq confronted Lauren (Paige Hurd) and they broke up. Tariq turned to Effie (Alix Lapri), who told him she would help him keep his business afloat. She also told him to forgive Brayden (Gianni Paolo). The three came up with a strategy for the Tejada’s, with Effie now meeting with Monet (Mary J. Blige), who warned Tariq to not come after Cane (Woody McClain).

On last week’s episode, Davis MacLean (Method Man) had his hands full keeping Saxe (Shane Johnson) on track. Aside from this, he had Monet bribing him, and he warned Milgram (Melanie Liburd) about getting too involved in the Tariq situation. Coming into this weekend’s episode, there is Mecca (Daniel Sunjata) agreeing to meet Lorenzo (Berto Colon), which sets up a bigger showdown.
