Quavo says posthumous Takeoff album is coming
Quavo is currently preparing to release his upcoming solo album “Rocket Power.” This title is in reference to his late nephew and fellow Migos group member, Takeoff. Quavo initially announced the August 4 release date last weekend, as he also put out a trailer, in anticipation for it. This will include singles such as “Without You,” “Greatness,” and “Honey Bun.”
Meanwhile, in an interview that Quavo posted to his YouTube channel, he explained the pain that he’s been feeling, since the passing of Takeoff. Furthermore, he added that a posthumous studio album is also coming from Takeoff.
“I just feel my boy’s energy. He got his chair over there, he just be kickin’ it,” Quavo said. “I always kick it with him. People don’t understand, but I be there. I be there in the house making sure all his stuff is straight, all his jewelry is clean. Still taking care of all his cars and all of that.”
Last fall, Quavo and Takeoff put out their “Only Built For Infinity Links” album, a month before Takeoff passed. That project went on to debut at number seven in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.
