Rick Ross ft. Willie Falcon and The-Dream – “Little Havana” [VIDEO]

In 2006, Rick Ross took over the streets, and he caused a bidding war. Locally, Ross was signed to Slip-N-Slide Records, a label home to Miami’s most-successful rappers. Though most of Slip-N-Slide’s roster was signed to Atlantic Records, not all of them were. Many of the local artists only released music via local distributors, with Slip-N-Slide as the promo label. Plus, Slip-N-Slide didn’t want only one distributor.

Rick Ross caused a bidding war and Def Jam won. Under Jay-Z’s mentorship, Rick Ross flourished, as the two delivered the classic “Maybach Music” single. The song was also the name of Rick Ross’ label, which would become a powerful force. While a roster already existed, adding Wale and Meek Mill dramatically improved the label’s fortunes. Through the years, Rick Ross ran a successful label, and he kept making hits. Among his collaborations was The-Dream, who he has a solid history with.

Last month, Rick Ross released Richer Than I’ve Ever Been. The first track on the album is “Little Havana,” featuring Willie Falcon and The-Dream. On the album’s first track, Ross reunited with The-Dream. This weekend, Rick Ross dropped the official music video for the single.
