Roddy Ricch Says He Wants To Make Kendrick Lamar Collaboration Happen; Believes They Can Create “Something Crazy” [VIDEO]

Today, Roddy Ricch released his first single since 2019, with “Late At Night.” The Compton rapper also released the visuals to this record, as it’s expected that he will put out his sophomore album sometime this year. Today, Roddy also appeared on Nick Cannon’s Power 106 show.

One of the topics discussed is an artist that Roddy wants to work with, and he revealed that it’s fellow Compton native, Kendrick Lamar. Roddy is close with Kendrick and believes that if the two are really locked in the studio, they can make some amazing things happen.

“One person in particular that I know that when we really, really, really get in tune, we really get in sync, it could be something crazy is my big bro Kendrick. I ain’t really got the full-blown opportunity to really just lock-in months or weeks at a time so it’s just like, I know when that happen, I’ll be excited for that. I feel like it’s gon’ work whenever the perfect time is and if it never happens, it’s just something that I always, like that’s somebody I always feel like inspired me to do it.”

As for Kendrick, fans are still waiting on new music from him. He hasn’t released any material since the 2018 “Black Panther” soundtrack, and hasn’t released a solo album since 2017’s “DAMN.”
