Russell Westbrook apologizes to LeBron and AD after having bad game

Clearly, Russell Westbrook hasn’t been a good fit for the Los Angeles Lakers, this year. On paper, the addition of Westbrook was the smartest move for the Lakers to get back into title contention. The Lakers have now taken yet another frustrating loss. Last night, the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks came to town and blew the Lakers out, in Los Angeles. Russell Westbrook had yet another terrible shooting night.

While Russell Westbrook is receiving a lot of backlash, it’s easy to forget he is a former MVP. During his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Westbrook put the young team on the map. He and Kevin Durant led the OKC Thunder to their first NBA Finals appearance, in Oklahoma City. The Thunder lost to the Miami Heat, led by LeBron James. After that moment, the Thunder slowly fell into mediocrity, leading to Westbrook going from a franchise player to a journeyman. Now, Russell Westbrook finds his name being brought up in trade talks.

Last night, Russell Westbrook was all smiles, as the Lakers took a tough home loss to the Bucks. After the game, Westbrook went over to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Westbrook gave a pep talk and apologized to the Lakers’ duo for his poor play in the loss.
