Russell Westbrook talks shooting slump after loss to KingsRussell Westbrook talks shooting slump after loss to Kings

Currently, Russell Westbrook is going through a shooting slump. As this is happening, the Lakers are going through a tough stretch, as a team. During the summer, the new-look Lakers were expected to contend for a title, but instead they’re barely holding onto a playoff spot.

Last night, the Lakers played the Sacramento Kings, and took another loss. Their loss to the Kings came against a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in sixteen years. The biggest highlight of the game came when LeBron James almost took Marvin Bagley’s arm off.

Russell Westbrook was the one who was trending after the Lakers’ loss to the Kings, though. On Twitter, fans called him “Westbrick,” and this began trending. The fans are clearly upset and disappointed in their team, as the expectation was that the Lakers would dominate the NBA, and be doing what the Warriors and Suns are doing.

After the Lakers’ loss to the Sacramento Kings, Russell Westbrook spoke to the media. In the press interview, they asked him about his shooting slump. Westbrook laughed and joked about it, asking if the Kings’ PA system mocked his shooting, over the past fourteen years. But, on a more serious note, he said he has to get through this, and expects no one to feel sorry for him.
