Westbrook was traded for Chris Paul and joined the Houston Rockets. Later, Westbrook joined the Washington Wizards and returned them to the playoffs in 2021. His play with the Wizards led to the Lakers trading for him.

LeBron James did his best to recreate the Lakers’ 2020 championship team. With that in mind, the Lakers brought back Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo.
