Saweetie drops iced out Closer video with HER
Four years ago, Saweetie took the game by storm. Her “ICYGRL” single put her on the map, as Saweetie became a viral sensation. It wasn’t long before Saweetie made herself into a true household name. Almost immediately, Saweetie and Quavo began a flirtation, and it wasn’t long before the two were dating. Meanwhile, Saweetie was having success with her own music, and it has helped make her into a true star.
Saweetie, ever since her first viral moment, has remained a fixture in the game. While Saweetie has yet to release her debut album, she releases new music almost every year. The Bay Area rapper scored the biggest hit of her career with “My Type,” another song where Saweetie used a sample. Unlike a lot of newer artists, Saweetie is unafraid to throw it back to the previous era. This, along with her good looks, and dance routines, have kept her hot.
Recently, Saweetie linked with her fellow Bay Area native, H.E.R. The two came together for “Closer,” which is Saweetie’s lead single for her debut album. This April, Saweetie is up for two awards at the Grammys. Sometime after this, Saweetie is expected to drop Pretty B*tch Music, her debut album, via Warner Records. This afternoon, though, Saweetie has returned with the music video for “Closer.”
