Steph Curry hits game winner vs Thunder in In-Season Tournament
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors had a humbling ending to the 2023 season. For once, their postseason run didn’t end in the NBA Finals. This came just one year after their 2022 championship, where Steph cemented himself as an all-time great. Curry and the Warriors have returned this season with a sole focus on winning the championship. Now, the NBA is offering two titles in one season, for the first time. In the first game, Steph had a classic game winner, against the Thunder.
Stephen Curry has been in his bag, through the Warriors’ first six games. In addition, the Warriors have been clutch. Both Curry and Klay Thompson have already had huge game winning shots. As a result, the Warriors have continued to win games. With both close games and blowouts, Curry and the Warriors are winning games. Since their opening night loss to the Suns, the Warriors have won five consecutive games.
Stephen Curry started this season playing out of his mind. Following the Phoenix loss, Golden State has gone undefeated. Tonight was the first round of games of the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament, where every team from both conference play single elimination games. The winners face off in Las Vegas for the NBA Cup championship game. Many of the players say they don’t fully understand it, but they just keep playing to win. That said, Steph iced this game, ensuring a Warriors’ win over OKC.
