Steph Curry says I’m f-cking back boy after scoring on Nuggets
Stephen Curry has gone through a lot, over these past three years. By 2019, the Golden State Warriors built a dynasty. The core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant had been together for three years. With the Warriors taking on the Toronto Raptors, most predicted a Warriors’ three peat. Some even predicted the Warriors would sweep the Toronto Raptors. Needless to say, the Warriors did not sweep the Raptors.
Instead, the Warriors dealt with injuries to Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry. The Warriors did enough to keep the series competitive, though. Honestly, a healthy Warriors’ team probably does win the 2019 championship. Stephen Curry was the only one of the core who played in all six games of the 219 NBA Finals. However, injuries sidelined Curry for most of the 2020 season. At the end of the season, Stephen Curry came back to get himself back into shape.
Last season, Stephen Curry played lights out basketball. With Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant out, for vastly different, yet identical, reasons, it was on Steph. In 2021, Stephen Curry played like an MVP, but only managed to get into the play-in. The Warriors lost to the Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies during the play-in tournament. This year, Steph and the young core, including Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole gelled, going 29-8, before things slowed down. Tonight, Steph Curry found his groove against the Nuggets in Game 2 of their first round playoff matchup. Curry let it be known.
