Tanna Leone releases video for debut single With The Villains
It’s the end of an era, with Kendrick Lamar, as he’s leaving Top Dawg Entertainment. A decade ago, Kendrick Lamar put the label on the map. His breakout success in 2011 led to Top Dawg Entertainment getting a partnership with Interscope Records. The partnership came through Kendrick Lamar’s relationship with Dr. Dre, who also signed him to Aftermath. Dre had Kendrick Lamar be a part of his historic Super Bowl halftime show, a month ago.
Kendrick Lamar announced his departure from TDE at the end of last year. With the announcement came the launch of his own label, pgLANG. His cousin, Baby Keem, was the first artist signed to the label and he dropped his debut album last year. Now, Kendrick Lamar has another artist signed to the label in the form of Tanna Leone. Via pgLANG, Tanna Leone is also signed to Def Jam, where he is making his major label debut.
Tanna Leone released his debut singles, “With The Villains” and “Lucky,” this morning. Both songs will be included on Tanna Leone’s major label debut project. It looks like Tanna Leone is giving “With The Villians” the full single push. While he has audio out for both of the singles, Tanna Leone has released the music video for “With The Villains.”
