‘The Proud Family’ Star Tommy Davidson Says The Show Is Coming Back With New Episodes On Upcoming New Disney Streaming Service, Disney+ [VIDEO]

The Proud Family was without a doubt one of the most successful shows of the 2000s on the Disney Channel. It ran from 2001-2005 and fans have been calling it for its return for 14 years now. Apparently, it’s happening for sure now as Tommy Davidson, who played the role of Oscar Proud, revealed on the red carpet premiere of “47 Meters Down: Uncaged” to media outlet Where Is The Buzz that new episodes of The Proud Family are coming.

“I forgot to tell you that, The Proud Family is coming back. Proud Family’s coming back. It’s on one of Disney’s streaming services. Yeah, Proud Family’s coming back. They told me not to tell you. New episodes.”

The streaming service that Davidson is referring to is Disney+, an upcoming subscription on-demand service. It will launch on November 12 of this year. Original films and TV shows will be aired on Disney+ as well as content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, National Geographic, and 20th Century Fox.

The return of The Proud Family will definitely bring a lot of nostalgia to fans who grew up on the show, whether they were kids or already grown up. It’ll be interesting to see if Disney decides to bring back episodes of other classics as well.
