The Weeknd releases Dawn FM trailer
Over the weekend, The Weeknd (yeah, ironic) announced his new album, Dawn FM. At one point, he hinted that the album may drop today. That was a little too ambitious, but he does indeed plan to release his new album soon. Instead of putting the album out, today, he came with the official trailer for the newest release.
The Weeknd released the Dawn FM trailer this morning and the album has a long list of features. His newest effort will include appearances from the likes of Lil Wayne, Tyler, The Creator, and many more big names. This is the sixth official studio album from The Weeknd, who now has nearly eleven years in the game, officially.
On a mainstream level, The Weeknd rose to fame, in 2011, appearing on Drake’s “Crew Love.” Much has changed since that run. Namely, both artists have become two of the biggest names in music, transcending genre. Back then, they were both viewed as fads, but they have instead gone onto redefine the concept of Toronto music, opening doors for many Canadian music acts.
In a decade, The Weeknd has proven he is not a fad. Instead, he is showing that he is becoming a legend in the game. Actually, his run of success has outlasted many legends in the game.
