Last night, Tory Lanez performed during a virtual concert as he promoted his “Playboy” album, which dropped back in March. Shortly after this show, the Toronto artist spoke with DJ Carisma and discussed new music on the way. One of those is a joint project with Chris Brown.
“Me and Chris, we gon’ come out with another project too, Lanez said. “We gon’ drop a little capsule together. Me and Chris gon’ do a capsule too.”
Lanez and Brown are frequent collaborators as on the Playboy album, Brown appeared on the song, “Feels.” Brown also hopped on Lanez’s “The Take” song from the 2019 “Chixtape 5” mixtape. They’ve been working together for years though as back in 2019, Lanez told Rap-Up that they have enough songs to make an album together. Lanez added that when they collaborate, that’s just what the results are.
Lanez also went on to say that he has collabs with Yung Bleu and DaBaby as well. He’s been releasing various album “capsules” of different genres since December as he’s put out rap and R&B projects. In 2021, Lanez plans to experiement with other genres as well such as reggae and 80s music.
