Trae Young tells the Knicks crowd to CALM DOWN after making buzzer beater | Hawks at Knicks [VIDEO]

Trae Young tells Knicks crowd to calm down after making buzzer beater

Last season, the New York Knicks made the playoffs for the first time in eight years. Coming in as the fourth seed, the Knicks seemed primed to go on a playoff run. In the first round, the Knicks faced the Atlanta Hawks. Led by Trae Young, the Hawks also made their first playoff appearance in years. Many expected a competitive series. Trae Young wasn’t one of those people, as the Hawks eliminated the Knicks in five games.

Nobody doubted Trae Young was a good player, but few people could predict what would happen. They didn’t just upset the Knicks, the Hawks embarrassed them. This has created a mostly one sided rivalry between the two teams. Expectations were high for the Hawks and Knicks, this season. With the Knicks being a four seed, many thought they would be back. Meanwhile, Atlanta made the Conference Finals. It didn’t go that way, as the Hawks are a play-in team, and the Knicks are a lottery team.

In the East, the Heat, Bucks, Sixers, Celtics, Bulls, and Cavs have dominated. Meanwhile, the Raptors, Nets, and Hornets have also been playing well. Last night, it was Trae Young in Madison Square Garden, though. Before the game, the Knicks fans were talking trash. During the first quarter, it seemed justified. At the end of the quarter, Trae Young threw in a game winning shot with 0.6 on the clock. After laying it in, Trae Young did his trademark “calm down” gesture to the crowd.
