Tyler, The Creator Wins First Ever “Cultural Influence Award,” at #HipHopAwards [VIDEO]

The 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards are currently underway, as the ceremony was held in Atlanta. One of the biggest awards of the night was just handed out, which was the Hip-Hop Awards’ first Cultural Influence Award.

This award went to Tyler, The Creator. LL Cool J initially hit the stage to introduce the award and Tyler, as Cool J’s Rock The Bells brand, is part of this award. Tyler soon hit the stage, and delivered a passionate speech, about what he represents, as a person and artist.

Tyler has had a huge year for his music as well, a he put out his sixth studio album, “Call Me If You Get Lost,” in June. That debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart, and was led by hits such as “Lumberjack,” and “WusYaName,” featuring NBA Youngboy and Ty Dolla $ign. Additional appearances on the album included 42 Dugg, Lil Uzi Vert, Pharrell, Brent Faiyaz, and more.
