Tyrese Maxey argues with James Harden and throws a cushion

Tyrese Maxey is the unsung hero of the Philadelphia 76ers. When Ben Simmons refused to play, Tyrese Maxey was thrown into the starting lineup. Starting as an NBA point guard for the first time, Tyrese Maxey’s team won over 50 games. Adding to it, Tyrese Maxey gained James Harden as a teammate during the middle of the season.

Tyrese Maxey and James Harden have had tension throughout the season, James Harden actually began his season playing for the Brooklyn Nets. Harden led the Nets to the best record in the East, before it all fell apart. The Nets fell into a nine game losing streak and traded James Harden for Ben Simmons, as they losing streak extended to eleven games.

Tyrese Maxey has been the only consistent player for the Sixers during the Miami series. The Miami Heat won the NBA’s first seed for a reason, this year. In Game 6, the Miami Heat showed why they owned the East’s best record. As the Sixers were being blown out, James Harden was trying to talk to Tyrese Maxey and Maxey was not having it. After getting into it Harden, Maxey angrily threw a cushion.
