Stephen Curry leads Warriors comeback Game 2 win over Mavericks

Stephen Curry is eager to get back to the NBA Finals. While Draymond Green often talks about 2016, Stephen Curry often mentions 2019. When the Warriors were heading into the 2019 Finals, they were heavily favored to beat the Raptors. This was in spite of Toronto having home court advantage. The Raptors did not have the Warriors’ stacked roster.

Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson dominated. Add to that, Draymond Green was also in the mix. However, injuries to two of those four limited the Warriors. Despite a strong effort, the Warriors fell in six games. During the offseason, the Warriors lost Steph, KD, and Klay. KD signed with the Nets, while injuries kept Steph and Klay out.

Stephen Curry reemerged in 2021, leading the Warriors to the postseason and a winning record. Despite losing, the momentum carried into this season. If not for midseason injuries, the Warriors would have likely gone 64-18, at least, this season. As the third seed, the Warriors beat the Nuggets and the Grizzlies to make the Conference Finals.

Stephen Curry and the Warriors now have to contend with the Dallas Mavericks. In the regular season, the Mavericks dominated the Warriors. Briefly, the Mavericks pushed the Warriors to the fourth seed, and it came down to the last day of the season. Now playing for the West title, Stephen Curry has given the Mavericks fits. In Game 2, Steph led the Warriors to a win after being down by 19.
