Currently, Terrence Howard is dominating television playing the role of the powerful Lucious Lyon on “Empire.” The series began on the premise of Lucious (Howard) picking a son to inherit his company. A battle began between the sons.
Terrence Howard has compelled audiences for the past twenty one months, as the world can’t get enough of him. Long before he reached these levels of superstardom, Howard was working to find his way in the acting world. Early in his career, Howard even did sitcoms.
On the heels of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” the late James Avery was cast in “Sparks,” a family sitcom about a father running a law firm in Compton with his sons. In contrast to “Empire,” Terrence Howard portrayed the son, Greg, opposite Miguel A. Nunez, Jr.’s Maxey. With “Empire” returning tonight, the Wednesday Throwback is focusing on him, instead of music.
