YRS Jerzy’s Wednesday Throwback: J. Holiday – “Suffocate”

Continuing our celebration of 2008, to open 2018, J. Holiday made sense, today. Yesterday, J. Holiday’s comments went viral, and this led to him being roasted on Twitter. While J. Holiday’s comments were out of pocket, he was a gifted singer.

Because of voices like J. Holiday, a lot of people believed R&B was in safe hands. Following the success of “Bed,” J. Holiday came into 2008 with “Suffocate,” which became another hit. The song, unfortunately, became J. Holiday’s last hit record.

J. Holiday remains a gifted vocalist, but his star power wasn’t meant to be, apparently. Definitely, J. Holiday has the potential to come back out strong. But, until then, “Suffocate,” the DC crooner’s second single, is this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
