For the past few days, Pitbull has been all the talk because he is going to guest star on “Empire” this week. From the previews, it looks like Pitbull is going to interact with Lucious and Jamal (Terrence Howard and Jussie Smollett). But, the storyline says otherwise.

There are hints of Cookie and Hakeem (Taraji P. Henson and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) having story with Pitbull. For the past decade, Pitbull has owned the pop/hip hop market. Along with fellow Miami rapper, Flo Rida, the two have cornered that lane.

Pitbull reached a commercial peak, back in 2009. This is when he released “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” paying homage to his hometown, and reaching number two on Billboard. Given this song’s success and Pitbull going on “Empire” in a few minutes, we chose this as the Wednesday Throwback.
