YRS Jerzy’s Wednesday Throwback: Tyrese – “Sweet Lady” (co-starring Maia Campbell)

Longevity is something hard to come by, especially in the entertainment business. Currently, Tyrese is one of the hottest names on the scene. A lot of it comes from his role in The Fast and The Furious series, but, more recently, “It’s Not You, It’s Men,” with Rev Run on OWN.

Tyrese is getting tons of work in and he is slated to appear on “Empire” when it returns from hiatus. Prior to becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest names, Tyrese was a rising force in R&B. When he was on his journey, Maia Campbell was one of the industry’s hottest women.

In 2013, Maia Campbell talked to Hip Hop Vibe about some of the music videos she appeared in. Among her work was with Tyrese on his debut project. His second single, “Sweet Lady,” ended up being the breakout song for his career and this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
