Delonte West arrested by police after trespassing in car
Over the last five years, Delonte West has unfortunately experienced some very hard times. He’s been seen being homeless in multiple cities, such as in Dallas, and in the Virginia area. The former NBA player did receive rehab assistance from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, in 2020. That sadly did not work for Delonte, though, as he was back on the streets again.
According to TMZ, Delonte is also now experiencing more legal trouble. On October 15, police arrived at a local parking lot at around 5:53 PM. It was revealed that Delonte was trespassing into a nearby car.
Delonte was refusing arrest at the time, and even attempted to flee the scene. He went on to be hit with charges of vehicle trespassing, entering a vehicle, fleeing from law enforcement and drunk in public. Delonte went on to be released, the next day.
This all comes after Delonte was able to get a job in Alexandria, after panhandling, back in June. A local flooring company helped get him this opportunity. It seems that mental troubles were able to harm Delonte once again, though, months later. Hopefully, he can finally make the life turnaround that he needs.
Delonte even recently revealed that he sometimes doesn’t remember that he played in the NBA. He was in the league from 2004-2012, as he played for the Celtics, SuperSonics, Cavaliers, and Mavericks.
