Drake is taking hiatus from music to focus on his health
Drake, over the span of fourteen years, has proven to be one of one. By 2009, his mixtape fame went straight to the mainstream. As a result, there was a bidding war, which ended at Young Money. Within a year, Drake dropped his first album and hasn’t looked back. Since 2009, he has kept some form of new music out. Any time he didn’t drop a project, Drake had a hit single. Even in 2017, Drake released a project, but immediately disappeared. He is doing the same, after For All The Dogs is released.
Drake released his eighth official album, For All The Dogs, this morning. This follows all kinds of mixtapes, playlists, EPs, and collaborative efforts he drops every year. In addition, Drake has either released, or appeared on, many of the biggest songs every year since 2009. As a result, he is viewed as the most successful rapper of this generation. When looking at commercial success, Drake has an argument as the most successful rapper of all-time.
Drake consistently delivered hits, dating back to 2009. So, for fourteen years, he has dominated the game. Along the way, he has worked with many of the biggest names in the industry. In addition, he has helped create some of the biggest names in the game. Almost everything Drake touches becomes a major success. While this life is rewarding, it can also be exhausting. As a result, Drake announced he’s taking a hiatus. During this time, he will be focusing more of his energy on his health.
