Family Guy episode from 2021 with Nipsey Hussle joke resurfaces
Family Guy has always contained controversial jokes in their episodes, since it first aired in the 1990s. These were initially brushed off then, in the 2000s and 2010s. However, many on social media are now taking much more offense to jokes made, in television and on social media.
A clip from a Family Guy episode from season 19, in April 2021, is also now resurfacing. This was “Young Parent Trap,” as Chris was seen speaking to his parents, Peter and Lois. Chris explained a music festival that he was attending, which would have holograms of Nipsey Hussle and 2Pac performing.
Chris made a Nipsey joke, where he said “They’re gonna have holograms of 2Pac and also Nipsey Hussle, who I’d never heard of and then was told to care immensely about.” Many online have since viewed this as disrespectful, while others believe that this is simply just Family Guy being Family Guy.
Nipsey was initially shot and killed in his hometown of Los Angeles, in March 2019. Eric Holder was convicted of committing this crime, last summer.
