Jermaine Dupri and Uncle Luke’s “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Ever Told” documentary to be released on March 21

Hulu’s Freaknik documentary to air on March 21

In April 2023, it was revealed that Jermaine Dupri and Uncle Luke would be executive producing “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Ever Told.” Moreover, this would air on Hulu, as it tells the stories of the “Freaknik” festivities that were occurring in Atlanta, in the late 1980s, and 1990s.

However, no release date for “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Ever Told” has been revealed, since last spring. However, Jermaine Dupri and Uncle Luke have no confirmed a premiere date, on Hulu. Therefore, this documentary will finally air on March 21.

Furthermore, Freaknik initially became one of the biggest HBCU events in the city of Atlanta. It was started in the mid-80s, as a small picnic for HBCU students, who were out on spring break. As a result, by the time that the 90s arrived, it was a massive era in which HBCU students partied heavily, began friendships, and attended events such as concerts and more. However, the Freaknik era did go on to be criticized for the way some acted, while on that spring break.  As a result, by the time 1998 came around, Freaknik began to be shut down, due to sexual assaults, violence against women, and other  public safety concerns.
