Young Thug released from jail to go to sister’s funeral
Young Thug has been incarcerated since lat May, after he and 26 other members of his YSL crew were indicted in a 56-count RICO case. This included fellow star Atlanta rapper, Gunna. However, since then, many YSL members have reached plea deals, and have been released from jail. This includes Gunna, as he was released in December.
Meanwhile, Thug continues to remain in jail. This is due to him being said to have ran the operations of the crimes that his YSL crew committed, over the course of a decade. His trial kicked off in January, as it remains ongoing. If convicted, Thug could face a life sentence.
However, this weekend, Thug briefly saw freedom. This was reportedly done due to being able to attend his sister’s funeral. This is Angela Grier, as Thug is said to have sported a suit and a pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers. Police escorts also attended the funeral, to escort Thug back to jail, following the conclusion of the service. Grier initially passed away, last week.
