Draymond Green turns up to Whoop That Trick while down 46 points
Draymond Green did all he could do, seeing how his team was down by 55, at one point. With Draymond Green’s Warriors cutting the lead to 46, that was a step up. Finally, the Memphis Grizzlies played like the better team. Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors played like a high school team. So much for the Warriors matching intensity.
Draymond Green is the emotional leader of the Golden State Warriors. Heading into Game 5, acting head coach, Mike Brown, said the Warriors needed to get off to a good start. In nearly every game, the Grizzlies have taken early leads. Early in Game 5, the Warriors played a competitive game in Memphis. However, right before halftime, the Golden State Warriors collapsed.
Draymond Green came into Game 5 believing the Warriors would close the Grizzlies out. The Grizzlies were without Ja Morant, but that didn’t matter. When the FedEx Forum began playing “Whoop That Trick,” Ja Morant and the crowd turned up. With nothing else he could do, Draymond Green got on his feet and turned up with the crowd. Of course, Draymond Green is focused on Game 6.
