Metro Boomin releases the short film Heroes & Villains
Metro Boomin gives fans a one of a kind visual experience. The mega producer releases the short film Heroes & Villains, a video experience previewing his album of the same name. Metro let fans know about the new video, via Instagram, with a post showing the cover art, followed by the date and time of the release. The film takes on a superhero aspect, with live action clips and comic book strips.
Metro Boomin originally had a release date of November 4th for the album, following the funeral of his mother. Due to sampling issues, Metro announced a new release date of December 2, letting fans know about the delay. Ahead of the album release, he decided to release the film. When he announced the short film, he revealed star studded cameo appearances in the movie.
Metro Boomin had the likes of Morgan Freeman, Lakeith Stanfield, Young Thug, and Gunna making appearances in the film. In addition, Metro included music from the likes of Future and 21 Savage, which played throughout the movie. With this new movie, Metro Boomin joined forces with Gibson Hazard, who handled most of the conception of the project.
