Tory Lanez ordered to serve house arrest until trial
Tory Lanez is dealing with even more legal issues, surrounding his Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. According to TMZ, a judge has just placed him under house arrest. This was due to him allegedly assaulting August Alsina, over a month ago. Tory allegedly attacked August, after being ignored. August is said to have been frustrated about Tory speaking on his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith.
Tory will be placed under house arrest until the trial for the Megan case begins, on November 28. Prosecutors state that the August Alsina fight violated conditions of his bail. They also believe that the Toronto rapper poses a threat to public safety.
Tory’s house arrest will officially begin on October 28, as he’ll also have an ankle monitor on. Tory previously denied getting into any altercation with August, as he claimed that he was in a recording studio. Tory’s attorney. Shawn Holley, also claims that no charges have been filed for that altercation, and that there’s only been allegations.
If convicted in the Megan shooting case, Tory faces 22 years and eight months in prison. He was initially charged with felony assault, back in October 2020.
