Rihanna says son motivated her to do Super Bowl halftime show

The upcoming Super Bowl is now three days away, as the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles. The halftime show with Apple Music also has a highly anticipated performance from the legendary Rihanna. This will take place inside State Farm Stadium, in Phoenix, Arizona. Rih initially confirmed this news, last fall.

In a new interview with Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis, Rihanna explained how her son inspired her to take on the decision to perform at the Super Bowl. This is her first child, as she gave birth to him, last May. The father is Rihanna’s boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.

“When you become a mom, there’s just something that happens that makes you feel like you could take on the world. You could do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. It’s important for me to do this this year, it’s important for representation. It’s important for my son.”

There are also rumors that Rihanna may finally release her first album since 2016, following the SB performance. There is also said to be discussions about a possible world tour coming soon, as well.
